Handles are made of stained and waxed European beach wood. Carving tool blades are made from chrome silicon alloy steel and heat treated for hardness of 59hrc. Few considered a number of criteria when determining the top performing chisels, including dovetailing, paring, chopping, durability tests, out of the box condition, tool ergonomics and edge retention properties.
Carving blades are 40mm inches long. The set contains 8 tools 2 knives straight dual bevel and skew dual bevel, 8mm flat chisel, 4 gouges 2mm half round, 3mm half round, 4mm standard gouge and 5mm shallow gouge and a 5mm v tool.
Knife blades are made from manganese vanadium tool steel and heat treated to a hardness of HR. You decide how you want to pay and I will usually go along with it.
